A colleague posted a wonderfully motivational message this morning. It was one of those, “new months, new beginnings” type messages. It really struck me this morning–in a positive way. So much in fact that it prompted me to write.
August, hmmm, August…last month was not what I would call a stellar month. There were hiccups, disappointments, miscommunications–stuff I will learn from and gladly leave behind.
Not all of August was bad. There were definitely good parts. I was gifted with my first yard signs (sale signs for yards)–can’t wait to use them! These signs were a birthday gift. One of the most thoughtful birthday gifts I have ever received. So much time and effort goes into getting a real estate license. Having someone acknowledge and support your efforts means the world.
The wonderful part of life is that we don’t need to carry the negative stuff of past times with us. Learn, but not dwell. Dwelling on failures for more than learning is a waste of time. Time is too precious to be wasted. Onward.
Although each day is a new day for opportunities, there is something that feels very different about a month ending that is also turning into a new season. Not only a new season, but this month brings a beautiful full moon too. There is something very revitalizing about a full moon. Look at that beautiful full moon tonight and think about everything you want to achieve.
Everything is possible if you believe in possibility. It doesn’t matter how many times you fail, get back up and do better than you did before.
I have very high hopes about September. The month has already started off good. My first clients are moving into their home today. I received my license in July and have already helped a family secure a rental property (for their home). A lovely townhome in a beautiful neighborhood. Being able to help people in this capacity makes me very happy. I know I am looking forward to a bright future in real estate.
I am so thrilled and hopeful about the last quarter of the year. So much that I’m starting a new campaign hashtag: #SeptemberSuccesses (I just thought of that now). Share your September successes with me by using this hashtag and tagging my social media pages. I love hearing about the success of others–it motivates me to keep going after what I want.
Take a moment today to reflect on August and then think about all the good to come this September. Enjoy every success this month–even and especially the small ones.
