Now that I have your attention with tacos…sadly, it was not a taco Tuesday for me (I managed that on Sunday and Monday). It’s been a couple of days since I posted. In addition to taco eating, I’ve been catching up on reading. Here are highlights of what I’ve read and shared:
- Federal Trade Commission warning consumers to be wary of solicitations. Between homeowners needing assistance with mortgages and the release of stimulus checks–there are plenty of ways for scammers to try and take advantage of consumers.
- Ways of improving an appraisal. Bathroom and kitchen remodels are still giving good ROI. Even minor adjustments in these areas help. Oh, how I’d love a sauna!
- Home prices are continuing to accelerate. Strong demand + limited supply = price increases.
- Learned about the Veterans Community Project. The statistics regarding homeless veterans are heartbreaking, but this organization is doing something about it.
AND, CONGRATULATIONS to Designated Managing Broker Dominic Levita, Providence Residential Brokerage (Elgin, IL), for ranking in the top 15% of Homesnap agents for the first half of 2020! Good work Dominic! I’m happy to say, I’m learning from the best!
I love learning and networking–the networking part is a little more challenging during COVID-19, but not impossible. If you’d like to chat about anything I’ve posted here (or anything really) and you’re a real estate professional–pop on over to my new Facebook group. There are only a few of us right now, meaning great visibility! The intention is to grow this group into an active group of real estate related professionals looking to learn and network.
I hope it’s been a terrific Tuesday for you (and I hope you’ve enjoyed a taco or two)!
